Pakistan’s Babar Ali Beats Afghan Fighter To Win SFL Flyweight Championship
Pakistan’s rising MMA star Babar Ali secured a major win against Afghanistan’s Nazkar Mir via first-round submission to win the SFL Flyweight Belt.
Babar dedicated his win to the people of Pakistan, his parents, friends, and coaches, without whom this would not have been possible. “This win is for Pakistan. I will work harder and bring many more victories for our beloved land. A big thank you to my parents, teammates who have helped me grow as a person and to Coach Nasir,” Babar Ali said.
The young MMA prospect resides in Rawalpindi, where he started training martial arts. Initially, he was into gymnastics but stumbled upon KAKS Fight Club in Naseerabad – a move that changed his life.
He crossed paths with Coach Nasir Khan Yousafzai who started KAKS with the sole purpose of giving the youth in the area an opportunity to focus their energy into something productive and create a family environment among his students.
Upon starting training at KAKS, Babar was a quick learner and hard worker and it was evident that he would one day become a force to be reckoned with for Pakistan. It was about time he started stacking up victories and eyes many more.
Pakistan’s mixed martial arts (MMA) industry is arguably the best self-funded sports industry in the country. More and more youngsters are turning towards combat sports and scoring big wins in top promotions across the world.
