LHC Directs NAB Not To Arrest Hamza Shehbaz Till April 8
The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Friday directed the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) not to arrest Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Hamza Shehbaz till April 8 in assets beyond means case.

Hamza Shehbaz has filed a petition in the Lahore High Court (LHC) against NAB's Friday raid. "The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) unlawfully conducted a raid at the residence."

He requested the court to cancel arrest warrants against him. He also said that NAB should be probed for contempt of court.

A NAB team raided the Model Town residence of Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday, only a day after it failed to arrest Hamza Shehbaz.

On Friday, NAB had raided the 96H residence of Shehbaz Sharif but said that the bureau team was harassed by Shehbaz's security guards and given death threats.

According to DawnNewsTV, the NAB team at the residence is larger in size today. Additionally, it was reported that PML-N workers have begun to gather at the main entrance.

A police contingent and anti-riot force is also present outside the residence.

On Friday, NAB raided Shehbaz's residence but could not arrest Hamza. NAB sources told Geo News that all legal formalities were complete prior to the raid and they are at 96H Model Town to arrest Hamza Shehbaz in assets beyond means case.

A NAB press release said that officials went to Shehbaz’s residence but were ‘bullied’ by Sharif’s security guards who tore their clothes and gave them death threats.

“NAB officials had gone to the residence with an arrest warrant and the Supreme Court had stated that the accountability bureau did not require to inform any accused prior to arresting them,” read the press release.
