Teacher 'Misbehaves', Son Abuses LHC Judges. Former Served Contempt Notice
The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Wednesday ordered arrest of a Punjab University teacher for continuing to speak loudly during court proceedings against her despite repeated calls to maintain law.

The five-member bench headed by Justice Mazahir Ali Akbar Naqvi also issued contempt of court notice to Khujista Rehan. The LHC was hearing the case on Dr Nayab's petition against an application of Professor Khujista Rehan of University Law College.

Khujista filed the application with the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) that some university professors including Dr Nayab were involved in a derogatory social media campaign against her.

Dr Nayab had filed the petition against Khujista's application in the FIA.

During the proceeding, she did not listen to court's repeated warnings to remain calm. She said she did not have confidence in the bench and that she would approach Supreme Judicial Council and President of Pakistan against the bench.

She refused to lower her voice even when the judge told her that she would be given a chance to speak. Upon this, the court ordered her arrest. She was released a few hours after, while contempt notice was served to her.
