A lawyer attacked a civil judge with a chair on Thursday during a hearing in Jaranwala, resulting in head injuries to the former.
According to ARY News, a local lawyer attacked Senior Civil Judge Khalid Mehmood with a chair and busted his head open over a minor verbal spat.
The judge was rushed to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital for immediate medical attention. Meanwhile, medico-legal report was summoned to initiate legal action against the attacker.
This is not the first case of its kind.
Earlier this month, lawyers allegedly thrashed a warden and an assistant warden for issuing them a challan for violating traffic rules. Lawyers expressed ‘anger’ over the warden’s ‘act’ and exchange heated words before resorting to physical assault.
In January, a shocking video came to light where a lawyer was reportedly thrashing and assaulting a Judge and trying to strip his pants off in the Banking Court, Lahore.
