500,000 Pakistanis Will Get Jobs By 2020 In Romania: Ministry Of Overseas Pakistanis
Romanian ambassador to Pakistan Nicolae Goia met Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Overseas Pakistanis Zulfikar Bukhari and told him that Romania was in need of around 1 million people to add to their workforce and was ready to accommodate 500,000 Pakistanis in the country.

Giving details, the envoy said that his country needed a large number of doctors, engineers, experts and over  40,000 drivers. He said attractive job opportunities are available for Pakistanis as Romania steps up the game post-Brexit.

“Romania is ready to import over 0.5 million of Pakistani workers by 2020 due to shortage of human resource at home,” the envoy informed the Special Assistant.

The current demand in Romania presents an unprecedented opportunity for Pakistan, he added.

Zulfi Bukhari told the ambassador that Pakistani workforce was extremely talented and the country would send the maximum number of people to Romania. He said that the government was focusing on skilled labour. The two officials also agreed to chalk out a mechanism for safe and secure migration of Pakistani workers to Romania.

Bukhari said the Pakistan government was working hard to train its human capital according to the global standards. He said that the ministry approached international donor agencies to set up vocational and technical training institutes with modern facilities in the country.

“The demands of International labor market are being taken into consideration to equip the workforce with modern technological expertise,” he remarked.

He pointed out the previous governments had failed to send Pakistani workforce to Romania.
