A newly-married woman died of severe injuries after her in-laws burnt her alive on Friday.
The in-laws initially claimed that the girl got burned by hot water, however, before succumbing to her injuries, the woman told police that someone sprinkled petrol over her and set her on fire.
She also said that she tried to get out of the kitchen but the door was locked from the outside.
An FIR has been registered against her husband, his brother, and mother.
Last week, Aurat March was organized in various major cities of the country to draw attention towards the plight of women, including domestic violence. However, the events came under a lot of criticism apparently for being "vulgar".
