Brenton Tarrant, a 28-year-old Australian who in the worst mass shooting of New Zealand killed 49 mosque worshippers, including children, had visited Pakistan in 2018.

A social media user, who is a resident of Hunza, shared a message associated with the white supremacist wherein Tarrant had admired Pakistan’s beauty and people’s hospitality.

“Pakistan is an incredible place filled with the most earnest, kind-hearted and hospitable people in the world.”

He also said that Prime Minister Imran Khan should ease the visa policies to encourage tourism.

Friday’s attack in two New Zealand mosques left over 49 people dead. The suspect Brenton Tarrant live streamed himself shooting people inside the mosque.

Prior to the attack, Tarrant penned a 73-paged manifesto titled ‘The Great Replacement,’ in which he described himself as an ‘ordinary white man’.

He wrote that he had planned the attack 2-year-ago, but decided the exact location only 3 months prior to the date of the attack.
