Imamul Haq Apologizes To Shane Watson Over Misconduct In PSL Final
Pakistan and Peshawar Zalmi opener Imamul Haq misbehaved with Quetta Gladiators’ Shane Watson in the final of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 4 and was strongly criticized on social media.
I genuinely have no idea what has happened, but Imam seriously needs to check his act. Shane Watson deserves a lot of respect & even if he did start it, Imam shouldn’t have reacted. https://t.co/hr4DNrRCrB

After Shane Watson was run out, Imam walked over to him and made some inappropriate comments and gestures. This had social media users infuriated as they condemned Imam for misbehaving with a senior players, and that too a foreign one who had come all the way to Pakistan to promote cricket.

‘Imamul Haq’s Behaviour Was Pathetic’
Imam ul haq's behaviour with senior player Watson was pathetic. He is our honourable guest. After a very long time international cricketers are coming to Pakistan. We should welcome and thankful to these players. PCB should take notice of this bad taste. pic.twitter.com/UynLm6xYpR

The Pakistani cricketer has now apologized for his behavior saying that it was in the heat of the moment and that it should not have happened. He accused Watson of using abusive comments towards him and that produced a reaction from him.
“My reaction to Watson’s inappropriate abusive comments was avoidable, for which I apologize”, he said, adding that he would like to congratulate Quetta for the victory.
Yesterday’s incident happened in the heat of the moment. My reaction to Watson’s inappropriate abusive comments was avoidable, for which I apologise. It was a good match and a great HBL PSL 2019, let’s enjoy its success. Congrats to Gladiators and Watson for the trophy and awards
