'I Prefer To Die With Dignity': Nawaz Refuses To Beg PTI For Medical Help
Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said that he would prefer to die with dignity than beg the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to provide him with medical facilities.

During a meeting with family members at Kot Lakhpat Jail in Lahore on Wednesday, Sharif complained of politics being played over his treatment. He said that 5 medical boards examined him and recommended the authorities to provide him with medical care but he has not been provided anything yet.

“The government has not provided any treatment or medical facility thus far. They are just trying to bother me by transferring to from one hospital to another,” he said.

He said that neither has he begged the government or jail authorities for medical facilities nor will he make such requests. “Whatever Allah wills will happen. I would prefer to die with dignity than live a life of disrespect.”

Earlier today, Maryam Nawaz had tweeted that Nawaz Sharif had refused to go to the hospital for treatment. She said that Nawaz complained about being ridiculed in the name of treatments.

On the other hand, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Shehbaz Sharif announced that party leaders and family members will not be able to meet Nawaz Sharif on Thursday because he is not well.

In his video for Naya Daur, journalist Murtaza Solangi said that Nawaz Sharif was being treated unfairly. He said despite being extremely ill, he was not being provided medical facilities.
