‘I Don’t Want To Go To Any Hospital’: Nawaz Sharif rejects PM Khan’s offer

A day after Prime Minister Imran Khan ordered the Punjab government to provide top medical facilities to Nawaz Sharif, the former PM on Friday said that he does not want to go to any hospital for treatment.

According to Express News, Nawaz has told Punjab government representatives that he does not want to go to any hospital for treatment. The provincial government has given Nawaz three options: the Pakistan Institute of Cardiology in Lahore/Rawalpindi and Al Shifa hospital.

Thus far, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo has refused to go to any of the above mentioned hospitals. Express News said that the provincial government has made all necessary arrange and only await Nawaz’s approval.

Imran Khan on Thursday ordered the authorities to provide ailing former premier Nawaz Sharif with top medical facilities.

Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry said that Imran Khan has ordered the Punjab government to provide the best health care to Nawaz Sharif, who according to reports is suffering from heart issues.

5 medical boards constituted by the authorities have examined Nawaz and all have advised that he be taken to the hospital for medical treatment.

Prime Minister Imran Khan says Nawaz must be taken to whichever doctor and hospital he wants to go to.

On Wednesday, Nawaz Sharif had said that he would ‘prefer to die with dignity’ than beg the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government for medical help.

During a meeting with family members at Kot Lakhpat Jail in Lahore on Wednesday, Sharif complained of politics being played over his treatment. He said that 5 medical boards examined him and recommended the authorities to provide him with medical care but he has not been provided anything yet.
