A woman in Lahore has accused her husband and his friends of torturing her and shaving her head for refusing to dance in front of them.
According to reports, the incident took place in Lahore’s Defence Housing Authority (DHA) area where a husband allegedly beat up his wife because she refused to dance in front of his friends.
Asma Aziz told media that her husband used to force her to dance and ‘entertain’ his friends.

Upon refusal to dance this time around, the husband identified as Mian Faisal, along with one of his friends beat Asma with a pipe and cut her hair. The woman said she married her 'tormentor' of her free will four years ago after he 'lured her into trap'.
Minister of State for Interior Shehryar Afridi took notice of the case and ordered Inspector General Punjab to present a report over the matter.
He said that the case must be probed thoroughly and with transparency. “State is responsible for protection of daughters of the nation,” he said.

The minister also ordered immediate arrest of the accused, after which Mian Faisal along with a servant was taken into custody.
