Govt Has Offered Best Facilities To Nawaz, But PML-N Is Playing Victim: Shah Mehmood
Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi slammed Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) on Friday saying that the party was playing politics on party head Nawaz Sharif’s health.
Speaking at a ceremony in Multan, Qureshi said that both Pakistan People Party (PPP) and PML-N were finding excuses to ‘hide their wrongdoings’.
“Now that they are being held accountable for their wrongdoings, they have started to howl and cry. PPP are being held accountable for their corruption and all of a sudden, Bilawal Zardari feels ever so concerned about the public.”
He added that to avoid accountability, PML-N on the other hand was doing politics on Nawaz Sharif’s health. “We have offered the best facilities to Nawaz Sharif but he would not accept.” He also said that PTI aims to take the country forward via its sustainable policies.
On Thursday, during a meeting with family members at Kot Lakhpat Jail, ex-PM Nawaz Sharif reiterated that he would not go to any hospital and has left his case to Allah. He also accused PTI of not allowing him treatment at the hospital of his own choice.
Prime Minister Imran Khan last week ordered the Punjab government to take Nawaz Sharif to the hospital of his own choice after which the ex-premier was offered three options e.g. Shifa Hospital and Punjab Institute of Cardiology in Lahore or Rawalpindi.
Earlier this week, Bilawal Bhutto paid Nawaz a visit in jail. The PPP leader offered his best wishes and hoped that their next meeting would be outside jail.
