Conor McGregor Arrested In US For Smashing Fan’s Phone

Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) superstar Conor McGregor was arrested in Miami on Monday for smashing phone of a fan who just wanted to take a picture with the former UFC champion.

But Conor McGregor was having none of it.

The fan and McGregor were leaving the Fontainebleau Miami Beach hotel when the former asked for a picture. McGregor slapped the phone and stomped on it several times. He then picked up the phone and walked with it.

The fan says the phone was worth $1000. McGregor was arrested on charges of felony, strong-armed robbery and criminal mischief.

It seems like the Irish star is living up to his ‘Notorious’ nick name. In 2018, he was arrested in Brooklyn, New York after he thrashed windows of a bus carrying UFC fighters, including rival Khabib Nurmagomedov. He was fined $50,000 and ordered community service.

Later, after his loss to Nurmagomedov in October, McGregor got involved in a brawl that was initiated by Nurmagomedov and escalated into chaos. He was fined $50,000 for this incident and handed a 6-month ban. He had also stormed Bellator’s Fighting Championships cage in 2017 and attacked referee Marc Goddard.

His latest antic proves that McGregor has not learnt lessons from past experiences.

But MMA fans are clearly not too pleased.
