‘Have Decided Time And Place For Response’: DG ISPR Asks India To Ready Itself For Surprise

Director General (DG) Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asif Ghafoor has said that Pakistan has decided the time and place for response over intrusion and that India must ready itself for surprise.

“We had said that if India attacks our country, we will surprise them. We have conceded a lot for the sake of peace in the region and enough is enough. India should wait for our response. We have decided the time and place and we will give them a big surprise,” Asif Ghafoor said while addressing a press conference in Rawalpindi.

He also criticized Indian claims calling them nothing but lies. “They can lie as much as they want. They claim that they killed around 350 people in Balakot but not even a brick was broken by their bombs,” he said, adding that due to poor weather conditions, journalists and media persons could not be taken to the impact site.

“Indian media claims that their jets stayed in Pakistan’s airspace for 21 minutes, but I invite them to spend 21 minutes in our airspace. They are spreading lies. Had they launched a ground attack, we would have responded befittingly because we had planned the defence strategy out well,” he said.

He said that Indian jets intruded through the Muzzafarabad sector and reached Balakot in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa but after facing timely and effective response from Pakistan Air Force released payload in Jabba while escaping.

The intrusion has been heavily condemned by journalists, politicians among others. Prime Minister Imran Khan called an emergency security meeting today. The forum condemned the attack and said that Pakistan has decided the time and place for response.
