'Let's eliminate it for good': People react as govt kick-starts countrywide anti-Polio drive

The Government of Pakistan has kick-started anti-Polio campaign across country which aims to target 39 million children under the age of 5.

Two hundred and sixty thousand Polio workers have been tasked to vaccinate the children.

Moreover, 30,000 security officials have also been tasked to ensure safety of the workers.

Health Minister Aamir Mehmood Kiani urged the public to cooperate with the workers, saying that it was the duty of every citizen to help the government in eradicating Polio from Pakistan.

Social Media is also speaking about the issue and urging people to take necessary steps to help end Polio.

Apart from the regular door-to-door services, the Polio teams would also be available at bus stops, railway stations, Afghan refugee camps and other public places to serve the public.
