Khadija Stabbing Case: SC overturns LHC ruling, orders imprisonment of Shah Hussain
The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Wednesday overturned Lahore High Court’s acquittal of Shah Hussain and ordered his imprisonment in Khadija Siddiqui stabbing case.
A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice Asif Saeed Khosa earlier today overturned LHC’s decision, after which the suspect was taken into custody from court premises.
Speaking to the media, Khadija said that truth will always prevail and that SC’s verdict was a victory for every women.
“The Supreme Court’s judgment has proven that even if you misuse your powers, you cannot escape the truth forever. Today’s decision is a victory for every woman,” she was quoted as saying by Geo.
She also thanked the media for playing its role responsibly and for highlighting the issue which ultimately led to prevalence of justice.

‘This is why we need the MeToo movement. Congratulations, Khadija’
This is why we need the #MeToo movement. So that a woman who dares say no doesn't have to suffer the violence that Khadija did. Congratulations @khadeeeej751! May your attacker, and everyone like him, rot in hell.#KhadijaSiddiqui

‘Asif Saeed Khosa opened his account’ and did so pretty well
#AsifSaeedKhosa opened his account as #CJP by deciding #KhadijaSiddiqui case without further delay, the convicted arrested outside court and sent to jail for five years. It is not only win of Khadija, rather win of all citizens who want to see prevalence of justice in #Pakistan.

‘Credit goes to Khadija, not the justice system’
It took Khadija Siddiqui almost 3 years to get justice after almost dying. Any other person in her position would have given up, but this girl is a fighter.
Credit goes to her, not the justice system.
