President Arif Alvi administered oath to incoming Chief Justice of Pakistan, Asif Saeed Khan Khosa, at a ceremony in Aiwan-i-Sadr.
Afterwards, he reached the Supreme Court to assume charge of his duties. He was presented guard of honour by a police contingent upon arrival.
Pakistanis are reacting on the new CJP’s appointment and have positive vibes about Justice Khosa.
‘Hope Justice Khosa will stay the course and not succumb to judicial populism’
New CJP:”I would also like to build some dams, a dam against undue and unnecessary delays in judicial determination of cases..against frivolous litigation..fake witnesses and false testimonies."
Hope Justice Khosa will stay the course and not succumb to judicial populism.

‘I have a good feeling about Justice Khosa’
Justice Khosa’s address is precisely the kind of corrective that was needed after what was clearly a Supreme Court running amok. I have a good feeling about Justice Khosa.

‘Very encouraging speech by incoming CJP Asif Saeed Khosa’
Very encouraging speech by incoming CJ Asif Saeed Khosa. But similar hope and pedigree was associated with the outgoing honorable CJ. Our list of disappointments is too long to ignore—even for an incorrigible optimist like me.
May Allah guide & protect those in high offices.
