They also claimed that the killed individuals had fired at them, while explosives were also recovered from their vehicle.

The FIR was lodged under section 302 (premeditated murder) of the Pakistan Penal Code along with section 7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act, 1997.

‘Shocking and unpardonable’
The Sahiwal Police encounter incident is shocking and unpardonable.Justice must be done and done swiftly. The responsible police officers must face the most severe form of punishment, if seniors are responsible they too must be held accountable. Heads must roll.Enough is enough

Point to ponder.
The CTD barbarity is yet another reminder of how human life has lost its value in Pakistan. #Sahiwal

According to reports, the children of the slain were also present on spot, and they were understandably traumatized.
The images of the poor children are beyond haunting. Murder is murder & THIS was murder. No need 2 waste anything on a useless JIT report. BASIC step of suspension should have already taken place. Every civilian & human life matters & nobody in uniform is above law. #Sahiwal

Prime Minister Imran Khan says the children will be looked after properly as they are state’s responsibility.
Still shocked at seeing the traumatized children who saw their parents shot before their eyes. Any parent would be shocked as they would think of their own children in such a traumatic situation. These children will now be fully looked after by the state as its responsibility.
