Alcohol and beer might soon be available at Lahore airport and reactions are mixed

A summary has been sent to Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar for approval to allow availability of liquor at the Allama Iqbal International Airport and people are reacting in mixed ways.

According to reports, the excise department, police and airport administration have issued NOCs to Unicorn Prestige Limited with regards to liquor license.

The news was aired on Lahore-based City 42 news channel

But there are limitations to it, however. The Pakistan law bars Muslims, but allows non-Muslim Pakistanis and foreigners to purchase and consume liquor.

Social Media has mixed reactions to offer. Some believe it is a bad move, others believe it is a good move while there are also some who find it funny.

HERE ARE THE ONES WHO DON’T SEEM TOO PLEASED

‘Shameful and Digusting act’

People are not really sure if the news is actually true. But they do hope that Buzdar disapproves

‘Permission to sell Alcohol is unfortunate’

‘Such a shame’

HERE ARE IN FEW IN SUPPORT OF THE MOVE

‘Thank you PTI’

That emoji says it all

PEOPLE ALSO FOUND IT ALL PRETTY HUMOURS

‘Jhoom Jhoom k travel karna’

Emojis are worth quite a lot of words

But things are still in control. CM Buzdar has not approved the summary yet, not necessarily disapproved it too, so it would be interesting to see what happens next.
