Najam Sethi's expenses during a four-year tenure

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) earlier today released a detail of Ex-Chairman PCB Najam Sethi's expenses during a four-year tenure from 2014 to 2018. According to PCB, the details released were as per the Board's transparency policy rather than its pursuance in prejudice.

As per the released report, Sethi spent a total of 7 crores during his tenure as CM PCB and CM Exec Committee. PCB's report detailed the incurred expenses as:

  • Hotel 27 lac

  • Daily Allowance 81 lac

  • Petrol 9 lac,

  • PSL allowances 1.5 crores,

  • Transport/ Security 1.8 lac,

  • Foreign tours 2.36 crores,

  • Personal/Medical 1.93 crores


Sethi had resigned from his PCB's Chairmanship two days after the new government was formed by PTI. Sethi's resignation was followed by Ehsan Mani as the new Chairman.

As per the released report the Board of Governors under Sethi had also approved of a remuneration of Rs 574,874 gross in for Chairman PSL Governing Council, Najam Sethi himself.

It also surfaced that PCB had initiated a tender for a bulletproof car at the cost of Rs 30 million for Sethi.
