Allama Rasheed Turabi, was one of the most revered scholars on Ahl-e-Bayt and particularly the Karbala tragedy. He addressed the Majlis-e-Sham-e-Ghareeban every year from the platform of Radio Pakistan. His first Sham-e-Ghareeban majlis was broadcast from Radio Pakistan in 1951.
