Erosion of Indus river - A threat to Mohenjo Daro site

The astounding remains of Mohenjo Daro, discovered in 1922 and excavated during the following years, are threatened by erosion of the Indus and are rapidly approaching the point of total destruction. After 18th amendment, preservation of the site is provicial government's responsibilty. Despite its historical significance, it faces neglect and serious need for preservation.
