Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Wednesday said that leaders of the banned outfits were not arrested by the government but placed in protective custody.

“I refuse to believe that any action has been taken against banned outfits. The government has not arrested leaders of the banned outfits but put them protective custody,” Bilawal said while addressing a press conference after his appearance before the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

Bilawal reiterated that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) govt must remove the ministers associated with banned outfits. “They must remove the three ministers or no one will take them seriously. PTI leaders resorted to personal attacks when I talked about banned outfits in all seriousness."

He continued that when PPP leaders talk about banned outfits, they are sent notices. Bilawal said the party would continue to talk against the ‘puppet’ government and will continue to talk about the political crisis in the country.

The PPP leader also talked about the party workers who were arrested over clashes with police outside National Accountability Bureau (NAB) headquarters in Islamabad. He said that the party workers have never resorted to violence and will never do so.

No Difference Between PTI Govt And Zia’s Dictatorship: Bakhtawar Bhutto

In the wake of arrests of party workers outside National Accountability (NAB) Headquarters, Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari said that there is no difference between the current government and Zia’s dictatorial regime.

“There is no difference between this government set up and Zia’s. Both never enjoyed any legitimacy and think controlling media will change history,” Bakhtawar took to Twitter and criticized the PTI govt over arrests of PPP workers outside NAB headquarters in Islamabad.
