The United States (US) has acknowledged Pakistan's 'significant progress' on its first action plan, saying that 26 of 27 action items have been 'largely addressed' by the country.

State Department spokesperson Ned Price said, "..We do recognise, and we support Pakistan’s continued efforts to satisfy those obligations.”

Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar’s had recently admitted that Pakistan was on the FATF grey list because of the 'efforts made by Narendra Modi's government'.

Price added that the US will encourage Pakistan to keep working with the FATF and the international community to swiftly complete the remaining action item. “We do further encourage Pakistan to expeditiously implement its new second action plan," he said.
