LUMS Students Stuck In Heavy Snow For 5 Days Rescued By Pak Army

GILGIT: Students from Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) have on Monday been rescued by Pakistan army.

According to details, 22 LUMS students who had gone to Gilgit for skiing were stuck in heavy snow and landslide for the last five days.

Pakistan army was approached by LUMS administration for the rescue of the students. Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa had directed immediate heli-lifting of the students.



On Monday, the students were rescued from the snow-hit Rattu and brought to Rawalpindi. There were 13 boys and 9 girls rescued by Pakistan army who have reached Rawalpindi and are one their way to their homes now.
