PM Imran To Meet Reps Of Missing Persons Committee As Islamabad Sit-In Continues

Minister for Human Rights Shireen Mazari has announced that Prime Minister Imran Khan plans on meeting three-member representative committee of the families of missing persons in March.

Family members of the missing Baloch citizens had staged a peaceful sit in at D Chowk Islamabad. This sit in has gone on for over a week now and the family members of the missing Baloch persons have requested that Prime Minister Imran Khan recover their relatives.

In her tweet, the minister assured the grieving family members of PTI’s and Imran Khan’s “commitment to ensure an end to this practice of Enforced Disappearances through legislation.”

The press release that she tweeted read: “the government will hand over the list of their missing persons to Dr Mazari so that their status could be ascertained and conveyed to the PM before the meeting with the family's representatives.”
