Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Ali Muhammad Khan inaugurated the Muhammad Ali Jinnah Hospital in a ceremony attended by Afghan Vice President Mohammad Sarwar Danish
The facility has reportedly been constructed at a cost of US$24. At the inauguration ceremony, the minister conveyed Prime Minister Imran Khan message that Pakistan would continue to facilitate the people of Afghanistan.
Afghan Minister of Public Health Dr Feroz expressed his deep gratitude for the generous gift and lauded Pakistan’s immense assistance in the Afghan health sector that includes the Nishtar Kidney Center in Jalalabad and the under construction 100-bed Naeb Aminullah Khan Hospital in Logar costing US$19 million.
Pakistan Ambassador to Afghanistan Zahid Nasrullah Khan said the Jinnah Hospital was a flagship project of Pakistan’s US$1 billion development assistance to Afghanistan, which was materialised "in pursuance of Pakistan’s policy objective of deepening and broadening people-to-people connections between the two countries".
