UN Chief Visits LUMS, Urges Students To Play Role In Pakistan's Progress

The United Nations (UN) Secretary General Antonio Guterres visited Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) today and addressed the students, encouraging them to play their role in Pakistan’s progress.

UN chief, after addressing the conference, asked the students to not ask just questions but give opinions offering solutions to counter global issues. While encouraging the students to become active members of the society, he said “youth of today can bring about any change in the world”.

UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres also encouraged the students of LUMS to work for the betterment of Pakistan.

Later, Antonio Gutteres also visited the Kartarpur Gurdawara near the Indian border in Narowal.

Antonio Guterres arrived in Pakistan on February 16, for his 4-day visit to attend an international conference on Afghan refugees. He was received by Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Noorul Haq Qadri.
