Coronavirus Patient Dies In Lahore

A patient of coronavirus has expired in Lahore’s Mayo Hospital. The deceased, identified as Imran was brought to Lahore form Hafizabad for treatment on Monday night.

Imran reportedly succumbed to his illness due to lack of a ventilator at the hospital. The hospital authorities are not confirming or denying whether the deceased was tested positive for coronavirus. But sources privy to the incident have confirmed that Imran had contracted coronavirus.

The 50-year-old patient has an international travel history, as he had been in Iran in the past. According to Professor Asad Aslam, the chief executive officer (CEO) of Mayo Hostpital, the suspected coronavirus patient’s test report was sent to Islamabad last night for verification.

“Imran’s coronavirus report has not come yet from Islamabad, the patient also had bleeding issues,” professor Asad added.

However, media reports have confirmed that the patient was tested positive for coronavirus. This is the first reported death from coronavirus in Pakistan.
