Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has installed separate breastfeeding cabins to facilitate travelling mothers at Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport.

The officials of CAA said that two cabins have been set up in the lounge for domestic and international travelers and the idea will be reciprocated at other national airports soon.

Earlier this year, the authority had set up 19 baby care rooms at the New Islamabad International Airport.

The rooms were constructed at the national and international departure and arrival lounges of the airport. They were established to facilitate families travelling with children.

Recently, a letter of CAA was doing the rounds of social media in which the authority had said that didn’t issue any fake licence to the pilots flying aircrafts in Pakistan and other foreign countries. The authority said that the fake licences matter was “misconstrued and incorrectly highlighted in the media”.

CAA clarified that all the ATL/ATPL pilot licences issued by the authority are ‘genuine’ and ‘validly’ issued. It noted that none of the pilot licences are fake, “rather the matter has been misconstrued and incorrectly highlighted in the media/social media”.
