Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs Ali Amin Gandapur has said after the issuance of the new political map of Pakistan that showed entire region of Jammu and Kashmir as the part of its territory, he could go to the Indian-occupied Kashmir whenever he wanted.

The minister was speaking on a Geo News show when he made these comments. Gandapur said the new political map was a message to India that Pakistan would go to any length over the Kashmir.

On Aug 4, the federal government had approved a new ‘political map’ of the country that showed India-occupied Kashmir as a part of the Pakistani territory.

This is the most historic day in Pakistan’s history,” Prime Minister Imran Khan had said in a press conference after the meeting. PM Imran had said for the first time in history, Pakistan has launched a political map that shows the entire Kashmir region, including Jammu, as part of the country’s territory.

India, however, had termed this move 'absurd'. Indian Foreign Ministry was quoted by the Indian media as saying, “These ridiculous assertions have neither legal validity nor international credibility. In fact, this new effort only confirms reality of Pakistan’s obsession with territorial aggrandisement supported by cross-border terrorism.”
