Pakistan Muslim League N (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz has also said that the elections were won through "rigging, breaking away PML-N candidates and with the help of 'selectors”.
Maryam Nawaz also said that it is shameful that despite using all the state machinery and rigging, PTI has failed to secure simple majority in GB. She added in another tweet that even though the government of PTI would be made with the help of "clutches", the government must see the reflection which the people of GB had shown it.
In another tweet, PML-N Vice President said that that the people of GB should not lose courage and that the game of puppets was about to end.
In the unofficial results released on Monday, PTI has secured 9 seats in the elections while PPP has bagged 3 seats followed by the PML-N which took 2 seats.
Independent candidates have also won 7 seats in the GB elections. More than 330 candidates took part in the elections which were contesting for 24 general seats of the third legislative assembly of Gilgit Baltistan.
Responding to the allegations of rigging, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Shibli Faraz said that the elections were transparent. He added that if PTI wanted to rig the elections, it could secure 14-15 seats.
"Actually, the opposition and especially PML-N's tradition has been [of saying] that elections which they win are correct and elections which they lose are wrong," he said.
