In another gaffe, Prime Minister Imran Khan, while listing the benefits of Diamer-Bhasha Dam, said that Pakistan won't have to 'import water' after the construction of the dam in Gilgit-Baltistan region.

Addressing the inauguration ceremony, the prime minister said the construction of the dam will do a number of good things for the country. He said the decision to construct the dam in Diamer was taken 40-50 years ago in the area due to its best location, adding that this would be that 3rd largest dam of the country.

"The dam will provide multiple benefits: it will not put pressure on the Pakistani rupee; it won't affect the country's foreign exchange reserves; and also Pakistan will have its own fuel, as it won't have to import water," the PM disclosed.

It is not the first time that prime minister has made a faux pas. On multiple occasions, he has committed a blunder and then blamed Freudian slip for the mistakes.

Few weeks ago, he called notorious terrorist Osama Bin Laden a 'martyr', prompting outrage across the globe.

In Jan 2020,   Imran Khan tweeted a video from Bangladesh, captioning it as Indian police's pogrom against Muslims in UP province.
