Did Not Restrict Justice Isa To Chamber Work, Clarifies SC

Refuting a claim made in an article published in The News headlined, the Supreme Court has issued an order stating that Justice Isa has voluntary decided to sit out court hearings and instead do chamber work for this week.

The article had suggested that Supreme Court had confined the Justice to just chamber work. However, the apex court denied the claims made in the piece.

The statement reads that Supreme Court had created a two-member bench comprising Justice Qazi Faez Isa and Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah for the week commencing February 15, 2021. However, the bench comprising Justice Qazi Faez Isa, was disbanded due to the non-availability of Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah on medical grounds. Due to this, Justice Isa also decided not to partake in court hearings and do chamber work instead.
