Speaking on a local media outlet, Chaudhry said he doesn't see any substantive evidence against Buzdar in the case. He, however, added that he didn't know much about the case.
NAB had summoned Usman Buzdar for allegedly receiving Rs50 million to coerce the excise and taxation department to issue a liquor licence to a hotel. The hotel got its L-2 liquor licence without acquiring 4/5 star rating from the Punjab Tourist Services Department required under the Pakistan Hotels and Restaurant Act 1976 first.
After a grilling session of two hours, NAB asked Buzdar to appear before the accountability watchdog with relevant record on Aug 18.
