In a two-part tweet, the chairman said CPEC has offered the youth of Pakistan an opportunity to develop skills and experiences that would allow Pakistan to grow and prosper in the future. "The internship is an inclusive, national project, focusing on human and social development and will involve 60 per cent of youth," it added.
In October, the CPECA was established through an ordinance promulgated by President Arif Alvi, a move that had been rejected by the parliamentary committee on China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. The formation of the authority had been announced by Prime Minister Imran Khan in August. The authority was said to be aimed at speeding up activities and projects related to CPEC to ensure their timely completion.
