Time is of the essence and the people who value and use it wisely can make the most of even tough situations. Among them is Khalid Khan, 28, a lecturer at Takht-e-Bhai Polytechnic College, who also sells chicken soup on Takkar Road in his home town.

Khan is from Mela Ground Takht-e-Bhai, from where he travels 3 km everyday to Takht-e-Bhai Polytechnic College, changing two Qinqi rickahws along the way. “I started to sell soup because I don't want to waste my free time,” he explains.

And so, after teaching classes in the college, he spends his time at Takkar Road Takht-i-Bhai, working on his soup stall. “Often my students came to this stall and get motivated from my work.”

Khalid Khan believes that every moment of life is precious.

One of his regular customers, who also happens to be a student of his, Jawad Akbar, appreciates his work but also says: “Our teacher is an example of someone who is educated but does not know how to earn money!”
