Barrister Saif further taunted the Senators and said that they start protesting even before the initiation of war.
The Senator also tabled a bill proposing a constitutional amendment to the National Finance Commission (NFC) Award on Monday. The Senate session rejected the bill as it gained 17 votes in favour while 25 against it to be tabled before National Assembly (NA).
The ruling party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and its ally Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P), Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) voted in favour of the bill. However, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) voted against it.
Barrister Saif, who presented the motion before the Upper House of the parliament, said that the expenses of the Centre were rising yet its share from the award had decreased.
