The schedule for general elections will be announced before the return of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif, as the former prime minister is all set to land in Lahore on October 21.
While speaking on Naya Daur TV, senior analyst Muzamal Suharwardy said that Nawaz’s return will be a vital card for the PML-N. He said that it is not yet confirmed whether PML-N Senior Vice President Maryam Nawaz will come along with his father or whether she will return earlier to welcome the former prime minister.
He said that PML-N will gather its workers from all across the country to welcome the party supremo.
The analyst said that preparations for Nawaz Sharif's return will begin on September 16.
He mentioned that there are no barriers in front of the PML-N and that the situation would be favorable for it.
It is pertinent to mention here that former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s former principal secretary, Fawad Hassan Fawad, has been appointed as federal minister on the advice of caretaker Prime Minister Anwar-Ul-Haq Kakar.
Suharwardy said that Bilawal has alleged that a level playing field is being provided to just one political party.
He said it is shocking that Bilawal is demanding accountability from former ISI DG Faiz Hameed. He said that after playing fixed matches with Faez Hameed for four years, the PPP leadership is now criticizing him.
