During custody of Pakistan Army, the Indian pilot was served ‘fantastic’ tea that de-escalated tensions. YES, it was the tea.
But that is not where the story ends. In fact, it has just begun.
Abdul Haq, a tea-stall owner in Rahim Yar Khan has made Abhinandan the centre of his marketing strategy and a winning one too. Pakistani’s are damn creative and there are solid reasons why.
The Indian pilot’s picture is the first catchy thing on his poster and the second one is the slogan. ‘Aesi Chaye Jo Dushman Ko Dost Banaye (A tea that turns enemies into friends)’ and that’s literally a fantastic idea.
Talking to Arab News, Abdul Haq said that “offering a cup of tea to someone with love can change his thoughts and I learnt that from Abhinandan,” Khan said.
Muhammad Latif, a customer said that he does not like tea but the entire idea of Abhinandan brought him to the place.
Social Media Reacts
The picture has gone viral on social media and has got people talking.
‘We are often too hard on ourselves. However, the last few weeks have reaffirmed to me our generosity, tolerance, ingenuity & indeed humor.’

The idea is fantastic. The execution is fantastic. Abdul Haq sure knows how to market his products and his ‘special chai’ is definitely going to be the talk of the town for the coming days.
Fancy Some Chai Jo Dushman Ko Bhi Dost Banaye?
