A viral video with a tweet claiming that three children and a woman from the Hindu community were put on fire by religious extremists in Sindh was shared widely on social media.

But the news has turned out to be fake. The above-mentioned people fell victim of a fire but it was an accident and not a hate crime, Veerji Kohli, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister, Sindh confirmed. He further said that there was a sudden fire in Lalu Bheel’s house and that caused the deaths of those three children called Kartik, Kelash and Rubina.

However, the Hindu community that constitutes more than 4 million of the Pakistan's population has been a victim of religion based violence in the province of Sindh since 1947.
