He also termed the party's supreme leader Nawaz Sharif a 'lota' as he condemned the party workers and leaders who protested against his meeting with the CM.
While talking to reporters on Sunday, the estranged PML-N lawmaker said that if the party did not act against Rauf, it would mean that they backed his action. PML-N MPA Mian Rauf had put a plastic lota on Jalal Sharaqpuri's head when he came to the assembly hall to attend the session on Friday. The PML-N MPAs also chanted slogan against him for meeting CM Buzdar.
Sharaqpuri further said that political parties should be open to difference of views, adding that he did not want the PML-N ticket for the 2018 general elections but he accepted it after being insisted by party president Shehbaz Sharif. The estranged MPA was issued a show cause notice by the party for meeting the chief minister, to which he says he has responded. "I am not aware of the party formally suspending my membership," he said, saying that he did not receive any notice in this regard.
