In a video being shared on social media, the assistant commissioner was called before a room full of people and asked to clarify her recent statements that she had made during an event in which she called for unity among all Pakistanis.
In the video, she can be seen saying that she had talked about human rights in which she had emphasised that there should be no discrimination against Ahmadis and emphasised unity amongst Pakistanis so we could fight our external enemies.
Another person in the video, seemingly angered by the comments, said that when the 1973 constitution had declared them non-muslims, why was the assistant commissioner talking about unity.
She then reiterated what she earlier stated and said that Ahmadis were non-Muslims according to the 1973 constitution and she also believed them to be non-muslims.
