PC Gwadar Attack: All Terrorists Eliminated, Security Guard Martyred
All the four terrorists were killed and a security guard was martyred after the attackers stormed the Pearl Continental (PC) Hotel Gwadar on Saturday, reported Dunya News.

Although the terrorists had managed to take the hotel staff hostage, the security forces eliminated them after a three-hour long operation.

All the staff members and the guests remained safe in the terror attack. However, some staff members are stated to be injured and have been shifted to the local hospital.

Earlier, the ISPR had said that three terrorists tried to force their way into the premises of the hotel. The guard posted at the entry pointed challenged them and offered resistance. As a result, the terrorists opened fire which resulted in his martyrdom.

The ISPR added that the security forces cordoned area and safely evacuated the guests.

It said the terrorists had been encircled by security forces in the staircase leading to the top floor and clearance operation was in progress.

Meanwhile, Dawn reported that the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) had claimed responsibility for the attack, according to the organisation's spokesperson Junaid Baloch.



Initial media reports said that as many as 10 blasts were heard from inside the hotel, as the terrorists launched the attack around 4:45pm.

Balochistan Information Minister Zahoor Buledi said that all the foreign, including the Chinese, and local guests staying in the hotel had been shifted to a safe location.

Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal condemned the terrorists attack and instructed the authorities to ensure the safety of all inside the hotel.

The chief minister called for a well planned and strong action against the terrorists, adding that he was in touch with police and local administration regarding the situation.

The PC Hotel in Gwadar is located on the Koh-e-Batil, south of West Bay on Fish Harbour Road. The five-star hotel is frequented by both business and leisure travellers.

The attack comes just weeks after 14 people, including 11 personnel of Navy, Air Force and Coast Guards, were martyred by terrorists near Ormara.
