Maqbool highlighted the issue that women voters were being barred from voting in the area and that legal action will be taken against anyone who prevents female voters.
He said the commission would go as far as re-election in the constituency if women are barred from voting.
The tribal areas, merged earlier with the province, will also witness local body polls and other reforms.
The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government has been asked to introduce a governance system before April 30 to guarantee smooth polling in the region.

The list of voters and constituencies has been issued, while full schedule will be given after the month of Ramzan.
Prior to the general elections in July 2018, the Election Commission of Pakistan announced that anyone found trying to restrict or bar women from voting would face imprisonment of up to three years, a hefty fine or both.
Re-election was done in some constituencies in the country due to a very low women voter turnout.
