PM Imran Offers Help To India To Contain Coronavirus Crisis

Prime Minister Imran Khan has offered to help the Indian government deal with the poverty issues surrounding food security. He made the offer in a tweet, quoting an article that said that 34 percent households in India will be unable to survive longer than a week without external assistance.

He said, "Acc to this report, 34% of households across India will not be able to survive for more than a week without add assistance. I am ready to offer help & share our successful cash transfer prog, lauded internationally for its reach & transparency, with India."

84 percent households India have observed a fallout in their monthly income because of the coronavirus crisis. Hence, a third of all households will be unable to get past a whole week without government or external funds.

However, the Indian government has set out a plan a distribute an amount worth Rs 21trillion in three rounds and Imran Khan offered his expertise on the disbursement of aid from his Ehsaas program experience.

He said, "Our govt successfully transferred Rs. 120 billion in 9 weeks to over 10 million families in a transparent manner to deal with the COVID19 fallout on the poor."
