PTM Activists Arrested, Booked For Allegedly Chanting Slogans Against Security Forces

Pahstun Tahafuz Movement (PTM) 13 activists have been booked on Monday by Loralai police for allegedly making creating hostility among different groups of society and chanting slogans against the security forces.

Station House Ofiicer (SHO) of Loralai police station Sardar Abdul Rehman has lodged the first information report (FIR) against the PTM activists under Pakistan Penal Code’s Sections 153-A (promoting enmity between different groups), 506 (Punishment for criminal intimidation), Section 16 of MPO (Maintenance of Public Order) ordinance.

Among other activists, PTM local leader Mullah Behram has also been arrested during police raids. According to the police, the activists had chanted slogans against the security forces during a procession at the Bagh football stadium in Loralai.

Asad Hashim, correspondent of Al Jazeera, on Twitter has said the crackdown on the PTM has continued in Loralai, in which with 13 PTM activists have been booked for "promoting enmity between different groups" and "criminal intimidation".
