While addressing the National Assembly session, he criticsed the government for removing former prime minister Benazir Bhutto's name from the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP). He said that Prime Minister Imran Khan's politics has always been based on 'blessings from one ISI chief or another'.
These remarks were expunged from the Assembly's proceedings by Speaker Asad Qaiser.
Speaking on the inflation and the public's economic woes, the PPP chairman said those who support inflation cannot be the public representative, but they were 'selected'.
"The prices of gas, electricity and petrol are rising at an alarming rate, while the government's finance team has no answers", he said.
