Speaking to a private news channel, Vawda made yet another tall claim. He blamed the previous Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government of inflation and economic crisis.
“Inflation, unemployment and energy crises remained the biggest issues during the PML-N government as well, but they were busy in minting money and constructing roads rather than introducing projects to end these troubles,” he said.
The minister also said that PTI had the public mandate and the people of Pakistan will continue to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the party through thick and thin.
However, Faisal Vawda later denied the reports on his Twitter account, claiming that he had never stated such a thing and that the figure was made up. He also threatened to sue Business Recorder if they fail to apologise.

On Tuesday, Vawda claimed that the government will create so many jobs in next two weeks that organizations ‘will run out of people to employ’.
Speaking during a talk-show on Geo TV, Vawda said “whether you talk about the stock exchange, property, industry or even the media, where people are being fired with the onus placed on the government, there will be many jobs and I am urging the owners not to fire people.”
Vawda took jabs at the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government blaming them for Pakistan’s poor economy and inflation. He said that lack of jobs is due to PML-N’s poor policies, but PTI will make improvements and create ‘so many jobs’, adding that it would not be a matter of years but of weeks.
On Thursday, we had cited APP and Business Recorder regarding Faisal Vawda's 'one billion' jobs claim. Later, APP changed the figure to 1 million.
