Few journalists are trying to provide a soft corner to Lahore High Court (LHC) Justice Ali Baqar Najafi over the letter seeking protocol for his son while traveling abroad by claiming that the judge didn’t seek protocol; in fact, the additional registrar wrote it on his own to express his efficiency.
While talking on a program on Naya Daur TV, senior analyst Muzamal Suharwardy said that it is not possible that the additional registrar wrote a letter without any instructions from the judge. "How did the additional registrar learn about the flight schedule of the judge’s son?" he questioned.
Suharwardy said that judges have become addicted to protocols, and they consider themselves rulers of the country.
The analyst said that once Justice Mazahar Ali Akbar Naqvi was fined for traffic rule violations in Lahore, the next day he summoned all the concerned authorities to his court and snubbed them.
He also revealed that Lahore High Court Chief Justice Muhammad Ameer Bhatti has three houses under his possession in GoR, and no one can dare question him.
The analyst said that the bureaucracy is badly tired while ensuring undue protocols for judges.
While responding to a question regarding the issuance of notices to Gen (retired) Qamar Javed Bajwa and Lt Gen (retired) Faiz Hameed by the Islamabad High Court on the plea filed by a citizen named Atif Ali, Suharwardy said that this is not a big development but a normal practice of the court. He said that there is no chance that the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) will lodge a case against Bajwa and Faiz.
The analyst also disclosed that an interview with another Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader will soon be broadcast in the media. He said that there are huge chance that the next interview will be of the former husband of Bushra Bibi, Khawar Manika.
